Make Up Monday

Well since the Urban Decay Naked palette launch in 2011  the make up industry tags everything with the word “Naked” and lets be real I want to try it. I don’t understand why, but I just do.  So today I am reviewing the

REVLON NAKED FOUNDATION AND POWDER

I instagramed a photo of them both about three weeks ago, I am really picky with foundation so I wanted to use it for a while so I could give my honest opinion for all of you.

To start this out I want to warn you, I never usually use drugstore foundation just because I have a really hard time finding the right color and also they tend to break me out for some reason.

There are 16 liquid foundation shades and 6 powder shades. I bought the color 150 Nude in the liquid and 020 Light Pale in the powder.  The liquid foundation was about a half a shade too light and the powder worked well for what I use it for. I use powder where I apply my concealer.  These products both retail for $9.99 each at Ulta .

Just as the product describes it is a Naked foundation, meaning very sheer/light coverage. It is build-able to maybe a medium coverage. I used both a kabuki brush and a beauty blender to see if I liked an application better, the kabuki brush provided a bit of a heavier coverage which I preferred with this, overall I give it a 2.5 out of 5.

I don’t love it, I don’t hate it but I feel it’s just a step above a tinted moisturizer and it doesn’t moisturize. If you have flawless skin already and you want to use something this product is for you!

Have you tried it? Will you try it? What did you think?

  1. Drug store foundation is always such a hit or miss. I’ve tried Revlon’s Color Match foundation, which everyone raved about for awhile, but I couldn’t find a shade to match my skin well. I usually just use Bare Minerals foundation. It matches my skin, and doesn’t break me out.
